League of Book Lovers In-Person
Join us for our next book club event for Juvenile Fiction readers! We will discuss U.S. historical fiction novel, Lost in the Empire City by Avi, which was chosen at the January book club event.
An Italian boy loses his family after arriving at Ellis Island in the early 20th century. While searching for a clue as to where his family has gone, he gets caught up with a gang of boys who steal to stay alive. When unexpected betrayal leaves him scrambling, it will take all the street smarts he's gained to find a way back to his family.
Check out a copy of the book at our Circulation Desk. The group will also enjoy a book-related craft or activity.
This book club is recommended for students in grades 4-6.
