The Commander-in-Chief's Guard with Alex Robb

The Commander-in-Chief's Guard with Alex Robb In-Person

Alex Robb, Interpretive Programs Specialist for Washington Crossing Historic Park in Bucks County, will present on the Commander-in-Chief's Guard, a Continental Army unit tasked with protecting the life and belongings of General George Washington. The CICG is a fascinating microcosm of the Continental Army and offers valuable insights into both the man who was "first in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen", as well as the every-day soldiers who followed him into battle. The CICG's story takes us from a treason plot to the brightest American victories. Anecdotes, primary sources, and historic reproductions will all be shared.

Intended for adults.
